Overall, it's been a positive experience and easy to learn for all employees. They were very helpful in porting over our existing customer base along with our retail merchandise.
Pros: Ability to move appts to other groomers. It's easy to update clients and pet information. We've had no issues with card payments and the security has been excellent. Also, the learning curve was gradual but supported by team and AI assistance via chat. They are open to improvements and do periodical updates to system as needed.
Cons: Value was a bit higher than expected and changed vs what we were quoted. Some features need to be improved around membership and website building which is too basic and limited.
I’ve used this for over 10 years. I’ve always been very happy with it. They are easy use. Never a real issue.
Pros: It is super easy to use. Support is easy to access. I’ve always been able to get in touch whenever anything arises.
Cons: There have never been any really bud issues with DaySmart. Tech support is easy to get in touch with.
Overall experience is a 10/10. We have been using DaySmart for close to 20 years. We rarely have an issues and when something does come up the service team is there to help you.
Pros: The Client Pet Management is great for this system. It is very easy to add now clients and update their pet status. The Reporting is pretty vast. There is countless number of reports that you can print out to help your business. I like pulling up a report that allows you to see when the last time clients were in. This provides me a list of all the customers that are due for their next hair cut. I print that out and give it to my front desk at the beginning of each month and we call up customers to make sure they book their appointments on time. There are also reports that give me the top customers by $ and I can break it down per groomer. I give that to my groomers so they can see who their top customers are for the year and they make them a special gift package at the end of the year. The Learning Curve on this system is pretty short. By day 3 a new employee will feel comfortable with navigating the system.
Cons: Improvements and Updates. I like the online book system. We implemented the online system 2 years ago and we have gone from 8% of our clients booking to 17%. That is a big jump. I would like to see more options with the online booking. Hoping to see that with future updates.
Amazing service except a handful of days where I couldn’t get it to work.
It’s been a great experience! Everything is very simple to learn yourself and navigate. When you do need help their customer service line is amazing!
Pros: I love everything about DaySmart Pet. It makes scheduling so easy with the appointment reminders! Who has the time to manually do that anymore?
Cons: The days it wouldn’t work. There was a handful of days where they were working out bugs. It was extremely frustrating dealing with upset clients that can’t process a card because of DaySmart being down. Overall great service.
Extremely helpful and easy they handle everything you have to do nothing but the client and sometimes you don’t have to do that. They can do it online.
Pros: I love everything about it so helpful no matter what problem you know they’re there to fix it and make it extremely easy to handle low words
Cons: Nothing I have absolutely nothing to complain about. They are the best service that I have found for a Grooming service.
Not recommended for desktop, but the cloud-based is wonderful.
Your customer service is exceptional. I've spoken with four people today in various departments and everybody was exceptional. I was laughing on each call, and we got everything that was necessary done.
Pros: The staff are amazing. Software is wonderful. Integration to POS is key. Mainly, it's been my staff interactions that make me enjoy the product. I've been using the desktop, and it's awful, but all of the issues I have with that should be corrected once we migrate to the cloud.
Cons: The desktop version is archaic. I know this is by design to push people into the web-based version, which is my intent.
It was great, I will highly recommend your customer service to anyone. It was efficient, which is great since I am so busy.
Pros: Kept it simple, easy to explain. I didn't have to get on the phone or stay beside the computer which was very helpful.
Cons: Actually there wasn't anything I didn't like. There wasn't anything that I disliked or thought needed improvement.
I like that DaySmart Pet is very convenient and it makes things a lot easier. You don't have to write anything down because it's all online, which is better for us and the customer. I would say the biggest downfall is we do lose connection a lot recently. So it does interfere with collecting payment and stuff like that. DaySmart Pet helps us manage appointments better and sends reminders to customers, making our job easier and more convenient as everything is online.
Reliable Grooming Software with Room for Better Customization
Overall, DaySmart Pet is a solid and reliable system for running a pet grooming business. It covers the essential needs like booking, customer management, and reminders effectively. However, there is room for improvement in customization and system flexibility to better support more complex or specific operational needs.
Pros: DaySmart Pet is very user-friendly for daily operations. The online booking system makes it easy for clients to schedule appointments, and automated reminders help reduce no-shows. I also like how client and pet profiles are organized in one place, including grooming notes and history, which improves service consistency. The reporting and calendar features are helpful for managing staff schedules and tracking business performance.
Cons: Some features feel limited or not fully customizable, especially when managing services (e.g., adding or displaying specific options like Bath & Tidy). The interface can occasionally be slow or unintuitive when making quick changes. Also, certain settings are not very flexible, which can make it harder to adapt to specific business workflows.
Great overall experience. Learned it pretty quick and haven't had many issues in the many years of being a client!
Pros: really great phone support when needed, day smart covers all of our business's features and makes client and pet management so simple!
Cons: There is not much I can think of. The ai help feature wasn't that helpful but that's to be expected.
It’s made running my business effortless down through the years. And, there’s always support when you need it.
Pros: It’s been an essential tool in running my business since 2002. I wouldn’t use anything else. I’m glad I tried it years ago.
Cons: No complaints since having the system. It’s been a great help to me in the everyday duties of running my business.
Overall, I would rate Daysmart at an A- or an 8.5/10. They are very helpful and friendly people. With pretty quick response times. The program is really great and has a lot of functionality, but can also be a little overwhelming because of it. I would absolutely recommend this product to other people, and I actually have done so.
Pros: The program overall is fairly user friendly. It can and does handle so many of the tasks I need to be taken care of. Between keeping track of ALL my various sales, payroll, time clock. Client profiles, online booking as well as manually booking/entering clients. Their online help through either their AI Rocky, or via a Live agent is very prompt and they have been able to assist me with every issue and inquiry I have had. They even have an option that you can suggest new features for their program, that they take very seriously. They don't just dismiss them.
Cons: There is SO much functionality to this program. It really is amazing, but it can also be a little overwhelming. The more I "poke around" in the system, the more I learn about how much it can do versus how little I am utilizing it. It is a pro and a con. Some features that I feel like should be included in their "base" program are in program "Add-Ons" that cost additional monthly costs. I have only looked into one such add on. While it was only an addition $25 (I believe), which isn't much in the grand scheme of things. I just felt like I already had half of the capability to do what I wanted and shouldn't have had to purchase it to have the functionality.
